A team of Greek scientists has discovered how to tell how much you like a particular song by literally reading your mind. And they want to fit it into Spotify, Apple Music, and other similar online music streaming services.

Soon, you won't have to tell Spotify what your favourite tunes are anymore. It'll simply pick them out for you. Based on the human brain's electrical activity alone, scientists from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece, are able to tell what your favourite song is.


Both articles refer to our recent study which introduces an exploitable biomarker for the bio-personalization of future music recommendation services and opens a new application field for low-cost neuroimaging devices to implement the ’bio-monitoring’ of the listener’s aesthetic experience:
